Duran Duran 10/1/15 and 1st Luso Visit in Modesto 10/03/15

What a busy weekend...

Started my friday with my girls and Duran Duran and ‪#‎Chic‬Nile Rodgers.. what an amazing night. Chic rocked it, I danced and sang and then out came the boys i have loved since I was a tween and we sang and danced some more. I am pretty sure this was one of the best shows I've been to with them. The energy was off the hook, and the crowd.. if there was a roof at the Greek, it was blown off before the night was over. ‪#‎DuranDuran‬ was on par vocally and musically. Seriously ‪#‎SimonLebon‬ sounded amazing!!!! Of course he looked amazing too!!! Yes i may have drooled a bit!! lol outside of the crazies that fought a friend of mine for a drum stick and the drunk *see you next tuesdays* that literally took ‪#‎NickRhodes‬ set list out of my friend CJ's hand and proceeded to play victim .. Karma will get them.. Thankfully the crew watched it all go down and came down calling CJ's name and handed her another set list (wait.. she tried to take that one too but the security guard caught her and didn't take no shit from her). I know people don't understand but as a fan for 30 years.. I get it!
wink emoticon
While we didn't "stalk" them necessarily we did get the opportunity to watch them leave in their cars as we walked to the garage. YAY! Thank you Ann 'annie' Celada Kwong andKrista Bailey Krishna for giving CJ and I a ride back to the our car...

Thank you Lanette Dutra and Lisa-Paul Mendes for joining me at the show.. Its never the same when we aren't together. It takes me back to when we went in 87 together for the first time and When i turned around and we were all there singing to "Save A Prayer" all seemed right with the world!!! I hope you had a great time even though we had 3 different rows...lol

Sunday began my first official Luso visit in Modesto.. I was nervous and excited at the same time. 5 years of working towards this goal and here it is.. I was glad to see that my parents joined me and we headed out to Modesto Sunday Morning. As always Modesto was ready and looking like Fall had touched the hall in very beautiful fall colors. Frankie TrovaoEthan Vieiraand I were officially embarking on our journey. With many laughs, silliness and wonderful memories I had an amazing first visit with my modesto family. The gift (JC and Jocelyn already asked to bake cookies or cupcakes), the flowers and food were fantastic and the company was even better. Thank you for an amazing afternoon with my Luso Family!!!
and now its monday and I'm pooped... back to reality until my next location in my Luso Journey!!!!

LUSO NEWARK COUNCIL VISIT!!!

So as monday begins I can't forget to mention the amazing night I had on Friday for the Luso Newarkvisit.. I was joined by my Mae Maria Amaral and my Tia Isabel, Assistant President... along with my Tio Luis and Tia Lucia (who is also my assistant president).. my Tios Madeline Lino Amaral and TiTia Lydia Costa. I'm not sure if that made me more nervous or if it was because I was surrounded by the our sister council Newark. I saw many familiar faces and some new faces.

Ethan VieiraFrankie TrovaoMarie Trovao our travels are just getting better and better.... Now if Hailey wouldn't scream when I hold her!
